If you are in town for a few days and are looking for somewhere to get a bite to eat here are some of our favorite places.
Zingerman's Delicatessen - Zingerman's is an Ann Arbor institution. We love them so much that they are catering the wedding. The deli is where it all began. Great for lunch or dinner, or whenever you are in the mood for a really good sandwich.
Zingerman's Roadhouse - The Roadhouse is very different that the deli. It is a full sit down restaurant serving "really good American food." This is one of the first places we ate when we moved to Ann Arbor, and well fell in love with it. It is just down the block from our house and is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Palio - This is where our rehearsal dinner will be held. Audrey used to work here in her undergraduate days at U of M and they are still serving really great Italian food. If you don't know what to get when looking at the menu we recommend the tortellini.
Argiero's Italian Restaurant - Another Italian place we like to eat at. We go here when the weather is nice and we can site outside on their patio.
Vinology - Either for just a glass of wine, or a fancy pants dinner, Audrey really likes the food here.
Conor O'Neill Irish Pub - Although the food isn't all that great we meet up at Conor’s with our friends on many a Monday evening for trivia night. If you are looking for a good burger we still recommend Zingerman's Roadhouse, but if you want the Irish Pub feel, this is your place.
I can't believe the wedding is in only 10 days. There is still a lot left to do, but Steve & I are both off of work after Friday, so we should be able to get it all done. Friday is my bachelorette party, Saturday is Steve's bachelor party. Should be fun! We are really starting to get excited. Can't wait to see everyone!

Three weeks until the big day! I can't believe it is almost here. Steve and I are getting very excited. I picked up my dress today, and yesterday we applied for our marriage license, so it's getting very real! We have a lot of loose ends to tie up but everything is coming together. Just hope the weather holds out for us. Can't wait to see our friends and family soon!
Some people had questions about our brunch on Sunday, it is an open house style event. Starting at 11:00 am stop by our house in Ann Arbor and visit before heading home. All are invited.
A couple weeks ago we were supposed to have our engagement pictures taken, but we were rained out. It was a horribly ugly day in Ann Arbor - about 35 degrees, cloudy and raining all day. We really wanted to have some outdoor pictures taken, so we decided to postpone them. We are supposed to have them done this Saturday, and it's supposed to be 75 and sunny - keeping our fingers crossed!
Last weekend we had our wedding shower at Steve's parents' house in Royal Oak. It was so much fun and great to see so many people that I haven't seen in a while. Steve and his dad served lunch to all the ladies, which I definitely got a big kick out of. We received so many wonderful gifts, I was really overwhelmed. It felt a little like being a kid at a birthday party again - kinda weird opening present after present...but I'm not complaining! Steve's mom really outdid herself, everything was beautiful, and the food was delicious. I can't thank her enough for such a nice shower - and to Mandi for helping. Hopefully we will post some pictures of the shower soon.
I just added a countdown timer to the footer of the website so you can keep track of how many days until the big event. 85 more days to go doesn't really seem like enough time to me, but I am very excited for the party.
Steve and I are getting our engagement pictures taken this weekend. It's about time, we've only been engaged for 2 years! It is supposed to rain, hopefully it won't rain the whole day though. Look on the website in the next couple weeks for some of our engagement pictures. We are really excited to work with our photographer, Aruna - her work is amazing!

Trying to create the map that goes with out invitations has proven to be quite difficult. Since things are not all right next to each other we had to cover a large area with the map and include a lot of streets. When crammed onto a 4x6 inch rectangle things get dense quite quickly. I spent the whole night working on it and am pretty happy with what I came up with. Just need to get it all finalized and printed up.
I will probably throw it up on the website eventually so keep an eye out for it there.
Just bought our cake topper today, and I have to say, it is so cute. It will look adorable on the cake. And of course, the cake will be delicious - thanks to Steve's mom! Got the cake topper on etsy.com - I love etsy!
It has been two years since we got engaged. Can you believe it? It has been a long journey to the wedding day, but it is going to really start picking up steam now. Only 111 days until June 5th; people tell me it is going to go by fast, and I believe them.

I want to congratulate my sister and future brother-in-law on their engagement. Kim and Adam have been engaged for only two days and they already have a more fleshed out wedding website than we do. Even if they did cheat by using a Knot.com site, this shall not stand; I am the website person in the family.
Congratulations Kim and Adam. Audrey and I are very happy for you. Next summer is the summer of weddings and I can’t wait for the festivities!
Today is our Negative One Year Anniversary. Happy Anniversary to us. I just hope next year the weather is a touch warmer, it is 36 degrees this morning as I post this. That would be a little too cold for my liking.
